The Children and Family Services Act is designed to protect children from abuse and neglect. There have recently been dedicated improvements to the Act, resulting in over 80 amendments.
These guidelines are intended for use for Halifax Hotspurs Soccer Club (HHSC) to help establish a common understanding of expectations for increasing the protection of children/youth (players) taking part in overnight trips.

Board, Coaches and Volunteers who could have contact with, or access to, children and/or vulnerable individuals in their roles, must submit a “clear” Canadian Police Information Check (CPIC)
